PINK PEPPER 2016 CROP - UPDATE 08/05/2016
Crop finally started on May 10th, the weather is still very firm, no rain at all, improving the produce´s quality as expected, let´s see if it this good weather last longer, as we have another state to harvest the produce later on, we are count on a considerable quantity of fresh material to be harvested, but if the rain cames, as last year happenned, the whole state production can be jeopardize for exportation.
In spite of god weather that is positive for pink pepper quality improvement, the bad news is, the price of the fresh material has increased very much this season, as the exporters are afraid of that the total quantity available to be harvested won´t be enough for everybody to fulfill their export commitments, furthermore another factor that will increase the final
producing cost is the Dollar rate against the real currency, that lately is weakening in view to the political and economic situation Brazil, the exporters are very much concerns about it, as if the political situation resolves, the rate can decreased to its previous year´s levels that reached very low value, pushing price in US$ much higher then at moment.
Finally we would like to remind you once more:
"PINK PEPPER IS A VERY EXPENSIVE PRODUCE TO BE PRODUCED, LOW PRICES MEANS LOW QUALITY PRODUCT, BECAUSE MIRACLES DOES NOT EXIST."
